Yaoundé to Host the 96th AfWASA Strategic and Technological Council from November 17 to 20, 2025
The African Water and Sanitation Association informs its members, partners, and all stakeholders in the water and sanitation sector that its 96th Strategic and Technological Council (STC) will be held from November 17 to 20, 2025 in Yaoundé, Cameroon, under the theme:
"Sustainable Management of Water Resources and Strengthening of Water Supply and Sanitation Services: Strategic Instruments for Bold Actions in Africa"
In a context marked by increasing pressure on water resources, climate change, population growth, and rapid urbanization, this meeting aims to provide a high-level platform for reflection and consultation. It will allow experts, decision-makers, researchers, technical and financial partners, as well as sector operators, to share experiences, analyze current challenges, and identify innovative solutions adapted to the African context.
Beyond sustainable resource management, the meeting will seek to identify the strategic levers essential for strengthening water and sanitation services and accelerating progress toward the SDGs in Africa.
Program highlights: high-level panels, thematic sessions, and specialist group work, offering a unique framework for dialogue, knowledge sharing, and co-creation.
AfWASA invites all its members, partners, and sector stakeholders to actively participate in these meeting and contribute to shaping solutions for a sustainable future in water and sanitation in Africa.
