GAPWAS Project: Evaluation Mission in Abidjan to Assess Project Impact
From 1 to 5 September 2025, Abidjan hosted an evaluation mission for the GAPWAS (German African Partnership for Water and Sanitation) project , led by Ms. Carola Schmidt (auditor) and accompanied by Mr. Roland Strohmeyer (Sequa), Ms. Marie-Louise Chagnaud and Ms. Sabine Sibler from German Water Partnership (GWP), as well as Ms. Larika Waldmann, GAPWAS Project Director.
This mission was a strategic step, marked by rich and constructive exchanges on the results already achieved and prospects. It also helped to consolidate the partnership between the German Water Partnership (GWP) and the African Water and Sanitation Association (AAEA) by identifying new avenues for cooperation.
Beyond taking stock, this meeting paved the way for innovative opportunities for collaboration in pursuit of a common vision: to strengthen the impact of the GAPWAS project and to promote, together, sustainable and ambitious solutions for water and sanitation in Africa.
